Bike Park
From May to October the mountain bikers take over the terrain around the ski slope.
Four trails specially shaped for downhill are waiting for the biking enthusiasts. For groups we are also happy to arrange our own competitions and special opening hours.
The Bikepark Oberhof was designed together with downhill lovers from Thuringia and was created with great attention to detail. On the area of the Oberhof Fallbach slope, a lot of residents, tables, doubles for the mountain bike downhill fun await the bike lovers in the summer season. The lift transports bikers and bikes comfortably to the mountain station. The different trails are suitable for beginners as well as for advanced bikers. Altogether there are four trails that are newly prepared every year.
The bike park has 4 different trails to offer:
- Fallbach Trail
- Wies’n Trail (Freeride)
- The t-wood Trail
- The Blueberry Trail
There is also a pump track at the Bikepark Oberhof. This area of 15 x 50m, especially designed for technical training, offers over 30 waves for pumping and jumping as well as 13 adjacent curves. The track is about 190 m long and offers countless variations of the track layout through various crossings and connections.
Service at the Bikepark Oberhof
The bike park is designed by bikers for bikers. Service comes first. A relaxed biking day should be guaranteed by small and large attentions. Thus, spontaneous wishes such as a rental bike including protectors and helmet can be served. The bike-washing station ensures that after the bike park the bike can be cleaned of grass and dirt. Repair kits are at hand in case something goes wrong.

LOTTO Thuringia Skisport-HALLE Oberhof & ARENA at Rennsteig
The LOTTO Thuringia ARENA on Rennsteig is the venue for the annual Biathlon World Cup. For many years, more than 100,000 sports fans have been visiting the holiday region to cheer on their biathletes. The well-known sports facility was built in 1982 and completely renovated from 2001 to 2003. Up to 25,000 spectators can be there when the world’s biathlon elite regularly test their skills. Outside the competition and training times, tours are also possible. Take advantage of your visit to Oberhof and visit the impressive LOTTO Thuringia ARENA on the Rennsteig.
Right next to the LOTTO Thuringia ARENA on the Rennsteig you will find the LOTTO Thuringia Skisport-HALLE Oberhof. The hall is the only indoor ski hall in Germany where Nordic winter sports can be practised. The motto of the ski hall “Winter. Whenever you want!” should be taken literally. Visitors, recreational athletes and top athletes will find the best winter conditions in addition to cooling off, even if it is 30 degrees outside.
Perfect cross-country skiing conditions and optimal training possibilities, no matter what the weather.
There is an almost two-kilometre-long circular course covering 10,000 m², which, with ascents and descents of up to 12 percent, will leave no room for boredom and also challenge passionate cross-country skiers. The course is divided into a fast power lap (264 m), a north-east loop (380 m) and a west loop (1110 m).

Racing sledge & bob run
The Oberhof luge & bobsleigh track is the venue for international competitions in luge and skeleton as well as a training facility for the professionals in luge, skeleton and bobsleigh. Here you can watch the competitive athletes in their respective sports during training times or simply sit down in the bobsleigh yourself and experience the feeling live.
Bob rides, Ice-Tubing & Ice-Rafting also for guests
You too can enjoy the rapid downhill run with lots of thrills on the Oberhof racing sledge & bobsleigh track. In the winter months, guests ride in the Ice Rafting Boat with nine other passengers, alone in the Ice Tube or four in the original four-man bob. Experienced bob pilots steer skilfully and safely through the track. In summer, the guest rides take place in a summer bob on rollers.
